Jobs, jobs, jobs!

After I've spent a few months tending to my health, now I'm all alive and kicking! Thanks to the Almighty God! It also means I'm back to my previous usual scene, facing my computer and left- and right-clicking the mouse with thoughts busy searching for new opportunities that I can do from home and online. I've been doing this for nearly four years now. So far, I am happy with it because it has let me earn an income without having me to leave home. And now, I've got over ten sites to attend to. *thinking*

Why Trish?

Many people do blame their parents for giving them names that they don't like - probably because their names sound too unpleasant to hear.  So those who have the means have opted to change their names into great sounding ones or into lucky ones.

Have you ever wondered what your name means for you or what it does for your life?  Well, I have...

I'm not a Chinese but I believe in a lot of things and stuffs.  Honestly, I can't count them all with my fingers.  Why I believe so is because I have proven that many of the superstitions I know of prove to be true.  I continue to learn and because I have more time now, I dig around the web for ideas esp. on names - I'm just curious until I found a site that tells how to determine if your name is bringing you good or bad luck.  'tis just for fun but I want to take it seriously.

Accordingly, the name of a person greatly affects him and how he lives.  In Feng Shui, there are five elements namely; wood, fire, earth, metal and water (constructive cycle in Feng Shui).  And talking about names, each alphabet in your name is being represented by an element.

A,B,K,L,U,V - Wood
C,D,M,N,W,X - Fire
E,F,O,P,Y,Z - Earth
G,H,Q,R - Metal

I,J,S,T - Water

Wait, that doesn't end just there.  You will need to determine your favorable element according to the season you were born in.  Check your favorable element below and element to avoid.

4th February to 5th May - favorable: Metal, avoid: Wood
6th May to 7th August - favorable: Water, avoid: Fire
8th August to 7th November - favorable: Wood, avoid: Metal
8th November to 3rd February - favorable: Fire, avoid: Water
For four Earth months: 5th April to 5th May, 7th July to 7th August, 8th October to 7th November and 6th January to 4th February - avoid Earth

My name is Aires and my favorable element is metal so I should avoid wood.  That's why I want my name be changed to Trish because it only has two elements which are metal and water and metal feeds water (constructive).  And Trish means 'noble'. :D

This blog's got a PR2

Yep, I've just checked my blog's PR value from Google PageRank Checker and it has gotten 2 from 10 possible points.  Yay!  I'm already happy with that but, I envy Facebook because it's got 10/10, lol.

If you own a site you too can check you PR value from above link.  And, if you don't have a blog yet and you'd like to have one or two, check out Kaye's WAHMaholic Blog Designs.

Military wife's battle

I am a military wife and I write this blog in order to salute to all the military wives out there who wholeheartedly devote their lives for their families in the absence of their husbands due also to their obligations to defend the country.

Let us acknowledge the fact that many people like the heroism thing and would like to join the military because they think that's the best way to do it.  Well, we all are heroes in our own way.  How?  The act of selflessly offering oneself to do things for the benefit of all is the one - no matter who you are and what your role is in the society.  So that talking specifically about military wives, it's not an easy task to be both father and mother to the children and I'd tell you, when we're alone we have no choice than to embrace the fact that we are military wives.  Sometimes, I hate the word 'automatic.'  Name all you can to interpret that word including to describe our roles as military wives - when our husbands leave home, we are automatically the ones in charge of everything.  We also are alone fighting the battle of being both a father and mother.  That is why I salute to all the military wives!

Btw, a quote to inspire: "Military wife; the toughest job in the military."

The summers are in full swing, the sun is shining bright and so is your future! You tend to broaden your horizons and push your limits. Your thirst for knowledge is on the rise, to quench which you would look for people who are genuinely willing to help you. Your research related work will keep you busy round the clock. But the entire process will light up a bulb in your mind, resulting into innovative ideas and a fresh approach towards various situations. At the same time, your family and friends grab your attention, and you long to bond with them. This month, you Rams also have spiritualism, travel and business deals on your cards. This may add to your social status and personal growth, says Ganesha. Touchwood!

Did you know?

I have been telling myself to spread the word about another way to earn money easily and fast by blogging.  But, I got so busy from meeting some schedules so finally, I am doing it now.  Hmm, can you guess what it is?  I know you have heard a lot and probably, you already have been earning more than what I have earned but for those who haven't yet, I hope this helps.

I started blogging in this site back in 2010.  I wasn't serious though I was happy each time I could receive emails telling that I earned this and that and the update was fast at that time - maybe to promote their site.  I only had few unfinished blogs but they still kept on piling coins for me, so I told myself okay this is sort of my piggy bank because at that time too, I couldn't cash out.  Everytime I would hit the cash out button, it would tell me that I would be able to cash out so many days from 'today.'  I was like waiting for forever until one day, I was able to. So the first amount that matured was $28.49.  I took a screenshot of the check, click here.  So you know where I went, lol :D

Just last week, I received my 2nd check ($68.36) from them.

Cheap diamond bands

Recently, I looked for wedding bands that I could gift to myself and my hubby this Valentine's day since mine got a crack after I squeezed hard a blanket.  I should have only spin dried it but I don't know why I still needed to squeeze it, lol.

So the one that caught my eyes at Amazon is the

Chic - Titanium Ring Wedding Band with Emerald-cut Lab-grade Diamond by AshMil.  Its regular price was $125.00 but it's now being offered on sale for only $44.95 so you can save 64% off.  Good news, it ships worldwide for free!  If you're wondering what it looks like, it's this!  Beautiful, isn't it?  My friend is also ordering a set.

Happy Valentine's day in advance!!!

Viva Sr. Sto. Niño!!!

We are having our fiesta this Sunday, January 31 in order to honor our patron saint, Sto. Niño.  So I will be preparing just a lechon & salad due to tight budget.  I am not inviting too many visitors, just the close friends and nearby relatives.  I think Sto. Niño could understand it.  Whatever, it's happy fiesta!!!

Shopping at Amazon

I have been a turker for nearly two years now. Before, it was just easy for me to withdraw my earnings because I could have it in less than five days after transferring it to my US$ bank account here in the Philippines. Amazon changed their payout system, I think that was on October, so I was at first discouraged to continue on turking.

Now, I'm back on turking but I spend my earnings on shopping because it's the only way international turkers can make use of their earnings. So that, in order for you to be able to withdraw your earnings in cash, you should be a legal US resident with a SSN and a US bank account. Good for Indians because they can receive their earnings through check. For other international turkers, they can only transfer it to Amazon gift certificate or you can use it as Amazon payments for their items ordered. Actually, I have ordered already 4 watches and two pairs of toddler girl's dresses. I chose priority courier international since I want my items shipped fast. Hmmm, I'm excited! I called the wide wide world express for DHL this morning and I was told that my items had arrived already on December 11. My next order is coming today but I choose to have them delivered together tomorrow.

If you are a turker and there's no other way to make use of your earnings than shopping then you sign in to Amazon using your mturk login. You just have to have your own debit/credit card ready because Amazon.com will ask for it esp. if it's your first time to ship to a certain address. You can get them easily and some at a very small fee like the Smartmoney card (visit your nearest Smart Wireless center - but not the electronic one) or you can also use any Visa/Mastercard you have that's still active because Amazon is going to verify them. When shopping also and you have relatives in the US and you want the free shipping items, you can contact your relatives beforehand so they will know when there are items coming to them. And you can ask them to include your items when they send 'balikbayan' boxes to the Philippines. That way, you can save big on shipping. Or if you want your items to be delivered to you then I suggest that you group your items into few shipments so you can save on shipping and handling as well on import fees. And to see if the items you have added into your cart will ship to your chosen shipping address, you try to proceed to checkout and click on the shipping address.

P.S. When choosing a product to buy, check on the customer reviews and ratings first. They're helpful.

The real 'burger king'

I was absent for one day here because I got busy (as always) so here I am now checking my blog, waaahhh! I only got 3 visitors but it's alright, thanks to them :) I'm turking now and have come across this news "Man finishes 15-pound burger plus toppings". I wonder how large his intestines and stomach are, lol. Hmmm, a 15-pounder burger, sooo impossible for me to finish it for even a week, lol. But, here he is making a news. Do you think you can beat him? Hmmm...

"A chef at a western Pennsylvania Italian restaurant ate a 15-pound burger with 5.2 pounds of toppings in 4 hours and 39 minutes. Brad Sciullo, of Uniontown, is the first person to successfully eat the huge burger at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, said pub owner Dennis Liegey.
The burger — called the Beer Barrel Belly Bruiser — include a bun, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, mild banana peppers and a cup each of mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and relish.

When asked what possessed him to eat a burger that big, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound Sciullo said: "I wanted to see if I could."" Read more here.

Get paid to do HITs w/ mTurk

If you have read my older (not really old, hehehe) posts, I've been mentioning 'turk'. Actually, I have been earning from there for almost two years now. Registering at Mechanical Turk is easy. Just click here . There you go!

Explore HITs you may like working on. Be careful with your rating (work honestly and read mTurk policies) as it will determine which HITs you can work on. The bigger your rating, the better your chances on working on almost all HITs as it will be used as your qualification.

Get paid to tweet

I didn't know we can really get paid on tweeting. I have just signed up and I now have a $5 in my account :) You can also sign up here:

'Glad to know'

It's 2:26pm now and I haven't taken a nap yet...I will in a few minutes. I have tried signing up at twivert.com but can't successfully do it. The confirmation link seems broken. Anyway, I'll sign up again later. I didn't know I can learn a lot here esp. about money-making sites. I'm exploring more blogs and be exploring more...I'm glad to know, I have lots of options now. Thanks to all!

Just got home from church

Haha, this is my second post now...Anyway, to my followers, thanks for following me:) I already have followed you also but I still need to practice more - I want to have as many friends so I'll be following more... It's more fun! Don't know well where to go yet so pardon this newbie co-blogger of yours...I promise to myself that I can get to master this in less than a year, hahaha... I spend most of my time on turking. That's where I earn $$$. I have 3 boys and 1 girl (youngest). I have two sons in school already (my younger high school sister takes care of them while they're in school - they attend the same school) and the youngest two are left at home with me. Although I spend most of my time in front of my buddy, my PC, I still find time to take care of my kids. My husband also works home-based, he's a government employee but his station/office is located just a walk away so he still helps me with chores at home and I don't hire a yaya anymore. My youngest will be turning 2 this 26th - she's a Lady Gaga fan and she interrupts me everytime she wants to watch Lady Gaga's 'poker face' video. And now, she's beside me again... And it's my time to take a nap now...it's Sunday, I have just arrived home from church. I'll take my cup of coffee later... :)

Many, many thanks to Kaye...

First of all, I want to give thanks to my friend who has selflessly spent time on creating this blog for me. If not with her, I could have not have this beautiful blog site. I and Kaye ( wahmaholic ) started knowing each other at the turker nation's forum. Before, I really thought she was my instructor (a little bit intrigued) because my instructor also turks. But when I asked a friend who had seen her profile, she said Kaye's from Baguio. God really is good. I had been working online for a while now and I really did wish I had a blog so I could also earn from it but I didn't have the courage to really make it. My doubts always prevail if I could make it or not so knowing Kaye is one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. She does this free for me, yes!

When she asked me what to put on my blog site, I was really hesitant because I really couldn't think of any. But when Kaye asked me if I drink coffee, I said 'yes'. In fact, I was sort of a coffee addict when I was a student before. Now, I drink it with moderation and now, while I'm writing this blog and turking... I love coffee - the smell of it awakens me! So this is it!

Thanks, Kaye!
