Shopping at Amazon

I have been a turker for nearly two years now. Before, it was just easy for me to withdraw my earnings because I could have it in less than five days after transferring it to my US$ bank account here in the Philippines. Amazon changed their payout system, I think that was on October, so I was at first discouraged to continue on turking.

Now, I'm back on turking but I spend my earnings on shopping because it's the only way international turkers can make use of their earnings. So that, in order for you to be able to withdraw your earnings in cash, you should be a legal US resident with a SSN and a US bank account. Good for Indians because they can receive their earnings through check. For other international turkers, they can only transfer it to Amazon gift certificate or you can use it as Amazon payments for their items ordered. Actually, I have ordered already 4 watches and two pairs of toddler girl's dresses. I chose priority courier international since I want my items shipped fast. Hmmm, I'm excited! I called the wide wide world express for DHL this morning and I was told that my items had arrived already on December 11. My next order is coming today but I choose to have them delivered together tomorrow.

If you are a turker and there's no other way to make use of your earnings than shopping then you sign in to Amazon using your mturk login. You just have to have your own debit/credit card ready because Amazon.com will ask for it esp. if it's your first time to ship to a certain address. You can get them easily and some at a very small fee like the Smartmoney card (visit your nearest Smart Wireless center - but not the electronic one) or you can also use any Visa/Mastercard you have that's still active because Amazon is going to verify them. When shopping also and you have relatives in the US and you want the free shipping items, you can contact your relatives beforehand so they will know when there are items coming to them. And you can ask them to include your items when they send 'balikbayan' boxes to the Philippines. That way, you can save big on shipping. Or if you want your items to be delivered to you then I suggest that you group your items into few shipments so you can save on shipping and handling as well on import fees. And to see if the items you have added into your cart will ship to your chosen shipping address, you try to proceed to checkout and click on the shipping address.

P.S. When choosing a product to buy, check on the customer reviews and ratings first. They're helpful.

The real 'burger king'

I was absent for one day here because I got busy (as always) so here I am now checking my blog, waaahhh! I only got 3 visitors but it's alright, thanks to them :) I'm turking now and have come across this news "Man finishes 15-pound burger plus toppings". I wonder how large his intestines and stomach are, lol. Hmmm, a 15-pounder burger, sooo impossible for me to finish it for even a week, lol. But, here he is making a news. Do you think you can beat him? Hmmm...

"A chef at a western Pennsylvania Italian restaurant ate a 15-pound burger with 5.2 pounds of toppings in 4 hours and 39 minutes. Brad Sciullo, of Uniontown, is the first person to successfully eat the huge burger at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, said pub owner Dennis Liegey.
The burger — called the Beer Barrel Belly Bruiser — include a bun, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, mild banana peppers and a cup each of mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and relish.

When asked what possessed him to eat a burger that big, the 5-foot-11, 180-pound Sciullo said: "I wanted to see if I could."" Read more here.

Get paid to do HITs w/ mTurk

If you have read my older (not really old, hehehe) posts, I've been mentioning 'turk'. Actually, I have been earning from there for almost two years now. Registering at Mechanical Turk is easy. Just click here . There you go!

Explore HITs you may like working on. Be careful with your rating (work honestly and read mTurk policies) as it will determine which HITs you can work on. The bigger your rating, the better your chances on working on almost all HITs as it will be used as your qualification.

Get paid to tweet

I didn't know we can really get paid on tweeting. I have just signed up and I now have a $5 in my account :) You can also sign up here:

'Glad to know'

It's 2:26pm now and I haven't taken a nap yet...I will in a few minutes. I have tried signing up at twivert.com but can't successfully do it. The confirmation link seems broken. Anyway, I'll sign up again later. I didn't know I can learn a lot here esp. about money-making sites. I'm exploring more blogs and be exploring more...I'm glad to know, I have lots of options now. Thanks to all!

Just got home from church

Haha, this is my second post now...Anyway, to my followers, thanks for following me:) I already have followed you also but I still need to practice more - I want to have as many friends so I'll be following more... It's more fun! Don't know well where to go yet so pardon this newbie co-blogger of yours...I promise to myself that I can get to master this in less than a year, hahaha... I spend most of my time on turking. That's where I earn $$$. I have 3 boys and 1 girl (youngest). I have two sons in school already (my younger high school sister takes care of them while they're in school - they attend the same school) and the youngest two are left at home with me. Although I spend most of my time in front of my buddy, my PC, I still find time to take care of my kids. My husband also works home-based, he's a government employee but his station/office is located just a walk away so he still helps me with chores at home and I don't hire a yaya anymore. My youngest will be turning 2 this 26th - she's a Lady Gaga fan and she interrupts me everytime she wants to watch Lady Gaga's 'poker face' video. And now, she's beside me again... And it's my time to take a nap now...it's Sunday, I have just arrived home from church. I'll take my cup of coffee later... :)

Many, many thanks to Kaye...

First of all, I want to give thanks to my friend who has selflessly spent time on creating this blog for me. If not with her, I could have not have this beautiful blog site. I and Kaye ( wahmaholic ) started knowing each other at the turker nation's forum. Before, I really thought she was my instructor (a little bit intrigued) because my instructor also turks. But when I asked a friend who had seen her profile, she said Kaye's from Baguio. God really is good. I had been working online for a while now and I really did wish I had a blog so I could also earn from it but I didn't have the courage to really make it. My doubts always prevail if I could make it or not so knowing Kaye is one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. She does this free for me, yes!

When she asked me what to put on my blog site, I was really hesitant because I really couldn't think of any. But when Kaye asked me if I drink coffee, I said 'yes'. In fact, I was sort of a coffee addict when I was a student before. Now, I drink it with moderation and now, while I'm writing this blog and turking... I love coffee - the smell of it awakens me! So this is it!

Thanks, Kaye!
